Magkaroon ng maunlad na barangay namagbibigay ng sapat na pagkalinga sa mga mamamayan, matugunan ang kahirapang nararanasan ng bawat pamilya, maipadama ang pagmamahal, nagtatanggol sa mga prinsipyo at kasanayan ng maayos na pamamahala tumutulong sapag balangkas ng nga kaayusan ng mga pangarap ng bawat isa tungo sa masaganang pamumuhay.
Nakasetro sa pagunlad ng barangay at ng mga mamamayan nito sa pamamagitan ng matalinong pamumuno at mahusay na pamamalakad, pagbibigay ng sapat na hanapbuhay sa mga calingagenos mulasa kanyang mayamang agrikultura, pagdadagdag ng proyektong pangkabuhayan, pagpapatayo ng mga bagong istraktura, pagkakaroon ng higit na takot sa “DIYOS” para sa kapakinabangan ng lahat.
The name CALINGAG was derived from KALINGAG Tree whose leaves and twigs are used as spices for foods which are very rampant in the area. CALINGAG was once a Sitio of Barangay Nabuslot. They were given independence in the first term of Former Municipal Mayor Dominador Madrid in 1950. Mr. Felimon Sena served as the First Cabeza de Barangay of Calingag. It had only 9 households with a total of 86 population back then. The topographical location of CALINGAG encouraged settlers from the island of Marinduque to permanently stay in the place.

Barangay CALINGAG as rural areas which on the western part of Pinamalayan, located in a hilly place. It is bounded on the north by nabuslot, Pambisan Munti takes the south, Pambisan Malaki on the west and Rosario on the east. It is 9.5 kilometers from the poblacion and 66 kilometers from the Provincial Capital. The Barangay has seven sitio namely: Sitio Sampalok, Playan, Lansones, Kalamansi. It has a total land area of 888.7135 hectars.
